Totten on Anbar Province

The opening line from Michael J. Totten's Middle East Journal today:

RAMADI, IRAQ – In early 2007 Ramadi, the capital of Iraq’s Anbar Province, was one of the most violent war-torn cities on Earth. By late spring it was the safest major city in Iraq outside Kurdistan.
A very interesting article from a man who actually visits those areas most journalists only hear about from local stringers. He is both critical when he sees negatives and approving where he sees progress.
