CNN Hypocrisy

This comment is at the bottom of nearly all CNN.com articles that relate to the Mohammed cartoon controversy. One such article with the disclaimer is here.

CNN is not showing the negative caricatures of the likeness of the Prophet Mohammed because the network believes its role is to cover the events surrounding the publication of the cartoons while not unnecessarily adding fuel to the controversy itself.
In other words, CNN doesn't want to offend Muslims.

However, on Wednesday CNN had no problem reproducing photos of prisoner abuse at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. Previous photographs of the Abu Ghraib abuse greatly offended Muslims and resulted in a number of Muslim deaths.

In other words, CNN doesn't mind upsetting Muslims so much afterall.

Michelle Malkin has more.
