Why I'm Skipping The Oscar's This Year

Writing in Townhall today, Ben Shapiro complains about the poor movie fare of today and how undisguised activist films have become Oscar's annual darlings.

Every year since I was old enough to stay up late, I've watched the Academy Awards. This year, however, I have absolutely zero desire to watch the Oscars. In recent years, lack of quality from Hollywood has turned the Academy Awards into a special-interest-group get-together.
Ok, ok, I know that Ben Shapiro looks like he is still only 13, and probably has only been able to stay up late for about two years now.

Still an interesting read.
